ONLINE SOLUTION FOR STORE SALES

S# THE PREFERRED WAY (10 STEPS)
   
  Users are advised to follow the preferred way to populate data on POS.TEAM. When you successfully add a product, the popup that acknowledges success, provides suggestions for the next step. An example is shown below;



Also the orange icon at the bottom of the screen takes you to the next preferred screen.
   
1. CATEGORIES AND SUB-CATEGORIES
  Organise your sellable items. Start by creating Categories and Sub-Categories.

e.g. Categories could be Cars, Vans, Trucks, Busses and Pickups
And Sub-Categories under Cars could be Sedans, Sports, Hatchbacks, Station Wagons etc
And Sub-Categories under Vans could be 10 Seater, 20 Seater, Cargo, Mini Van, Full Size Van etc
   
2. MANUFACTURERS
  Develop a list of Manufacturers that you normally deal with.

e.g. Toyota, Mazda, Nissan, Ford, GMC etc.
   
3. PACKAGINGS/ UNITS
  Develop a list of packagings or measurable units your products are sold in.

e.g. Each, Bottle, Kilograms, Boxes, Liters etc.
You will see that you can define more complex packagings like "Box * 12 Bottles * 330 Millitlers"
   
4. TAXES
  Define the names and percentage of taxes applicable to Purchases or Sales.

e.g. General Sales Tax as 7% to be applied to all sales.
   
5. ITEMS
  Develop a list of items your business deals with. Once all items are created you dont have to write them everytime you purchase them or sell them. An example is given below;

Category Car
Sub-Category Sedan
Manufacturer Toyota
Model Corolla
Specific Information GLi
Units/ Packaging Each
Tax GST 7%
More Optional Details 1200cc, Leather Seats, GPS, Allow Rims

6. VENDORS
  Create a list of vendors or suppliers that you buy your items from.
   
7. PURCHASE/ BUY
  Now that you have organised your items, you can start buying them and adding your margins. An example is given below;

Select Item Satrangi Dress Shirt Blue and White Vertical Stripes Each 1 * Size XL
Unit Cost 500
Select Purchase Tax PST 5%
Qty Purchased 25
Sales Margin (Minimum %) 10
Sales Margin (Maximum %) 15
Unique Serial No 00012378UT
   
8. BAR CODES
  Bar codes are generated automatically by POS.TEAM. Print barcodes and affix them on the items.
   
9. CUSTOMERS
  Create a List of your customers or leave this step for later.
   
10. SELL
  Search by manufacturer OR perform a text search OR scroll to see the item you want to sell.

e.g. Click on the PLUS icon in front of the item you want to sell. Next screen will show you the necesary sales information like sales price and taxes etc. You can either agree with the information and click on FINAL SALE or click on SELL MORE to select more items to be sold.
